eCard Systems runs gift card programs for over 100,000 merchants across more than 130 POS platforms, handling both the plastic and the processing. Connected to NX Restaurant, cards sell and redeem at the POS like any other tender, with no separate terminal and no manual balance lookups.
You get custom-printed physical cards alongside digital cards delivered by email or text from a branded online storefront, so a guest can buy a last-minute gift at 11pm and the recipient can redeem it the next morning. Cards activate the moment the sale completes.
Balances, redemptions, reload activity, and outstanding liability are tracked centrally and broken out by location, which matters at period close — gift card liability is real money on your books, and it should not take a spreadsheet to find it.
